Community Outreach

Through our community outreach programs we focus on building relationships within the communities we serve, develop on-going volunteer support, collect donations to fund our community programs,

and distribute literature to spread the word about our internship programs, other community

outreach programs, and general information about CEMA community projects.

Experience world class entertainment in an intimate venue (with free parking!) without having to travel far. Long treasured by our local residents, the variety of live performances and events at CEMA Center attracts audiences from far and wide. With several flexible performance spaces and an

outdoor campus and partnerships with other community organizations and intentional

programming of our own, a diverse lineup of live events and film screenings help

fulfill our mission of All Arts, All People, All Ages.

"IT'S NEVER TOO LATE"

SENIOR PROGRAM

Every Wednesday

According to Schedule

This senior program was established to provide day trips and activities for the 55+ community through our partnerships with other organizations. Our day trips are youth senior collaborative programs to continue to promote the value of music and the arts for better health and longer life. We plan day trips to concerts, plays, museums, luncheons,

and more for the participants. All of this

is done in collaboration with diverse

partners and volunteers.

PERSONAL ENHANCEMENT DEVELOPMENT

Every Tuesday

According to Schedule

The PED programs focus on music and the arts and the role they play in the development of good character, thinking and problem solving skills, and discipline. Our goal is to help prepare children and graduating

students for a successful future by removing barriers and meeting the challenges of adolescence and adults through a coordinated progressive series of activities and experiences in the music and arts after school programs along with the internship programs for high school and college students.  These programs are taught by celebrities, teachers,

community leaders, and everyday people who donate their time and money to mentor and educate the participating students and at risk youth.

Lifecycle Events

The CEMA staff and volunteers work many hours planning music and arts after school programs, developing social services resources, developing special community fundraising events, holding workshops and training classes, and general operations. Collaboration and partnerships are the foundation of our projects. Without the knowledge, resources, capabilities, and manpower that partnerships can bring, we would be unable to accomplish the depth and number of programs we have developed. Likewise, without our excellence in planning and management skills, our ability to build and nurture community partnerships would not be a reality.

Monthly Activities

Keeping the arts accessible is a vital part of our mission, so CEMA Center sponsors a variety of programs each year that are free and open to the public. Annual events include CEMAFEST, art gallery talks, music lectures, exhibitions and tours, drawing thousands of community visitors. Our partnerships with other Arts Organizations brings thousands of local residents to CEMA Center for free performances by performing artists from around the world. Through our Outreach Program, we also ensure performances for school children by encouraging class trips to CEMA Center to see school show performances.

Monthly Community Meeting

Dedicated to Art for all people, all ages,

CEMA Center is the cultural core of the city, convening and engaging all people—no matter age or background—in arts experiences that strengthen community.

Everyone is welcome to attend our

monthly meetings.

Summer Music Camp

We offer 4 main program areas and offer a balanced program from these activities. They are Entertainment, Music, Arts, and Adventure. In each of these areas we offer constructive teaching and coaching of skills. Ultimately, we want the activities to be fun and safe. As always, the counselors – their energy, expertise, preparation, commitment to

the child and to the camp culture – will

be the difference.
